SP Design & Pave
After spending years in large-scale commercial civil construction and ground engineering, founder Scott Proverbs observed a recurring tragedy in the domestic paving market: homeowners spending hard-earned savings on driveways and patios that began sinking, cracking, pooling with water, or turning green within two years.
The root cause was almost always poor ground preparation: inadequate excavation depths, missing geotextile separation membranes, uncompacted sub-bases, or cheap non-UV aromatic resins.
Scott established SP Design & Pave on a simple founding principle: apply strict British civil engineering standards (BS 7533) to domestic landscaping, employ certified in-house craftsmen, use only certified materials like Daltex 100% UV-stable resin and Tobermore paving, and back every project with an insurance-backed 10-year written warranty.
